(IV)  Valparaiso University,USA

Where in the world do you want to go? Valparaiso University can take you there. Valpo has many study-abroad opportunities available through one-on-one exchange programs with international universities across the globe, cooperative agreements abroad with other U.S. universities, Valpo’s membership with The New American Colleges and Universities, and Valparaiso University-operated study centers.

Studying abroad not only provides you with broader perspectives of the world, but also allows for personal growth. A study-abroad experience helps to build a strong resumé, as many businesses hire job candidates who have these experiences.

As a student participating in one of these programs, you’ll study under professors employed by the partnering university in each country, and in some locations, Valpo’s own faculty. You’ll also experience the languages, people, cultures and customs of each country firsthand. You may even find yourself exploring Gothic art at the Salisbury Cathedral in England after a classroom lesson; visiting ancient pyramids and Indian village markets in Mexico; or touring the Eiffel Tower in France. The best part is that you can spend a semester or year abroad and, in most cases, still graduate in four years!

The Office of International Programs can help you decide which study abroad programs best suit your academic needs and personal interests and which semester you should plan to go. The only requirement for most is that you are at least a sophomore in good academic standing.
